Call-out minimums
If you're called in outside your schedule, many contracts pay a minimum number of hours, such as 4, even if you work less.
Setting it up
Go to Jobs, tap your job, then Contract rules.
Tap Add a rule and choose Call-out minimum.
Set Minimum hours, such as 4.
Choose Paid at:
The shift's rate (the default): the extra hours are paid the same as the hours you worked, such as 1.5× on a Saturday or in your overtime window, and 2× on a Sunday.
Your rate: the extra hours at your regular rate.
Minimum wage: the extra hours at your province's minimum wage.
Under Applies when, Shifts is already set to Called in. Add Days if your minimum only applies on some days.
Tap Add, go back, and tap Save on the job.
Suggested image: the Call-out minimum rule set to 4 hours at the shift's rate.
Marking a shift as a call-in
Once your contract has a call-out minimum, the switch Called in outside my schedule appears:
While you're on the clock: under Shift options on the Clock card.
For a saved shift: in Edit shift, under Details.
Turn it on for any shift you were called in for.
Examples
A 1-hour call-in at $39.51, with a 4-hour minimum at the shift's rate:
On a weekday: 4 hours × $39.51 = $158.04
On a Saturday at 1.5×: 4 hours × $59.27 = $237.08
On a Sunday at 2×: 4 hours × $79.02 = $316.08
On the day, the hour you worked shows at its rate, and the top-up shows as Minimum pay.
Good to know
If you work longer than the minimum, nothing is added.
If you left early by choice, turn on I chose to leave early in Edit shift, and the minimum doesn't apply.
